Books, etc.

I've spent the past few evenings purging my room and attic of things I no longer need. It's crazy how you can accumulate so much junk without realizing. I'm still knee deep in clothes and toys and other random things. I'm finally finishing up sorting through all of my books. I had three pile: Keep in my room, store in the attic, and donate to Goodwill. In the end I have 208 in my room, 239 in the attic, and 0 in the donation pile. Oh, well....
I have come across so many precious keepsakes and memories. I am a big-time saver of anything with sentimental value. Once my room and the attic are completely organized, I am going to compile all of the doodads I have saved over the years into a book. Should be fun!

  1. I love to give away all my books the minute I am finished with them---if I liked them--so I can talk to someone about them! My hubby keeps his old university text books! LOL

I do have a hard time getting rid of children's books.....I love: Ugly Fish; It's a Book; Moo Baa, La, La, La ; Scaredy Squirrel; Chicken, Pig, Cow...oh the list goes on and on!

I think the memory book is a good idea! What a great way to not lose things. Over the years I have whittled away at my keepsakes---and have a couple plastic bins now. I did leave a lot with my mom but then she sold the house and a bunch got lost along the way.

Good job cleaning! It has been a busy few days for me so I have cleaning to look forward to myself--sigh....

    1. Children's books are my favorite. I have the hardest time parting with them. I've read so many of them (being a former teacher and nanny and all), but I've never heard of any of the books you mentioned! I'll have to check them out. :)
I'm excited to start the memory book this evening. I'll try and post pictures.
