Some snapshots of Thanksgiving weekend

Favorite Christmas decoration. Look at his adorable little face!

I can remember this music box from my earliest Christmases. It makes me giddy every time I pull it down from the attic on Thanksgiving.

It's called Happiness Hill! I found this book in a little thrift store this weekend. I know I didn't need it, but it has such a charming front cover, and is filled with the most delightful poems, pictures, and stories...I just couldn't leave it there. And it was only 50 cents. Do you see the little boy bringing his friendly pet dragon up the hill? The dragon is wearing a purple bow! How cute is that? How could I resist buying this?! Now I think that makes 332 books squashed in my tiny bedroom. I think I have a sickness, but I don't care.

"Believe". I actually have never believed in Father Christmas, but it's fun to pretend.

Oh, the beauty! The picture just doesn't do it justice. It was radiant, majestic, glorious...

The first box of Christmas goodies!

I love this teacup, and I love the huge scoop of whipped cream I dumped in it.

A fun, loud game of catchphrase at the Rosenthal's on Thanksgiving. I wish I had taken a video of Jenna--she was hysterical.

There is another one on the other door that says "giving". I just didn't feel like uploading it. So cute.

Good food and friends.

This actually wasn't taken this weekend, but it's so beautiful I had to share it. We are always seeing painted buntings in out backyard.

This is from Halloween. They are both just so darn cute!

As you can see, it was a wonderful weekend. We are getting our tree this week. I will post pictures as soon as I can.

  2. I was seeing if I could stick with blogging for more than a week before I really told anyone. I tried blogging last year, and published a whole two posts...so, you can see why I wanted to make sure I wouldn't give up on this one as well. I've faithfully blogged for three weeks now--yay, me!
I was so happy to see a comment from you this morning! Love and miss you!
I'll be keeping an eye out for the letter. :)

  3. Eww..I don't like the font for my blog posts. All the letters are smushed together. It looks like I said Maggie is "Damn" cute. It's darn. Trust me, it's supposed to be darn.
I'll be changing the font to something a little more legible.

  5. The 50 cent book was a great find. All your pictures were delightful. I was especially to see the painted bunting, as I've never seen one before. That is so cool!

  6. Aren't they the prettiest birds? They are so colorful and tiny. I had never seen them until a couple months when they took over our back yard. We've spotted 6 or 7 of them fluttering about at a time.
