The weather was a hot, muggy 80+ degrees on Christmas day. I've learned not to mind that so much anymore. I can't remember the lat time the temperature dropped lower than 70 degrees on Christmas day. Warm, humid, sunny....and the suddenly it was 38 degrees. This week has been spent in front of the heater, bundled up in scarves and mittens, sipping on coffee. We are such wimps whenever we have to deal with colder weather. I didn't have a single sweater in my closet, so I was very thankful for Amanda's aunt when she gave us a bag of her old clothes and their was a jacket in it. I claimed it immediately. The weather is warming up a bit now. They say that it will be up in the 80's again by Monday. Oh, south Florida.....the weather here is most capricious.

Friends of ours just finished going through the process of becoming foster parents, and a little baby was brought to them two days before Christmas. Natalie and I are going to be babysitting him and their other daughter tomorrow evening. I cannot wait!

Our Christmas was simply wonderful. It couldn't have been more perfect. I was awake at 5 am, and by 6:45 my little sisters and I couldn't wait anymore so we faked a fit of coughing to wake the rest of the family up. It worked and ten minutes later we were opening our stockings. We gave each other gifts and then went to spend the afternoon with our family friends. It was a delightful day.

Counting My Blessings
22. Crisp, cool weather.
23. A fun-filled New Year's weekend spent with Chelsea. It was so good to see her again after 3 long months.
24. A wonderful Christmas spent with my family and friends.
25. My job. The job itself can be dull at times, but I work for such an excellent company and hard working coworkers. I am so grateful to be able to work in such a professional environment where my work is appreciated and where I am encouraged to always be looking for ways to improve myself.
